Imagine going to the market every day to get your food for the day. We are just so busy now a days that we couldn't fit it in, so we would starve without them right?
The Freezer and frozen food started to become a huge deal in the late 1920s. General Foods bought Charlie Birdseye's rights and patents in 1929. At the beginning the freezer was a hard thing to sell. This was because no one had ever seen one before 1929, and know what knew what to do it, and how to prepare food. They began to show "how to" videos and programs to teach people how to use the freezer. The freezer was not something that the average family wouldn't have. Many would say that if they had a freezer that it was a privilege not a necessity.
Advertising had a huge role in the success of the freezer. Without advertising the freezer may not have evolved into what it is today. Now when you walk into someones kitchen you notice the freezer and refriderator right away. This is because of advertising. It played a huge rold in the evolution of the freezer along with many other inventions later to come.
Does advertising play a huge role in the success in the product? Maybe... What do you think?
